What is it that the people did not consider? They did not consider the many and varied ways in which God’s Mercy had been extended to them. The Lord had made Israel one of the most prosperous nations, possibly the most prosperous, on the face of the Earth. Due to the great Law of Moses, which gave Israel a head’s up on the entirety of the world, Israel was light years ahead of any other nation on the face of the Earth.
